II. The Philosophy

On character and conduct

Essays, reflections and films on how to live well: on virtue, composure, discipline and the dignity of doing things properly.

The House is concerned with what a man wears. The Philosophy is concerned with who he is. It is the larger part of PAX ET VIRTUS, and the reason the rest exists.

Here you will find writing and film on character, masculinity, responsibility and the quiet disciplines of a meaningful life. Some of it will touch on dress, because dress is one place where character becomes visible. Much of it will not. The subject is conduct, and clothing is only one of its expressions.
